St. Paul's Church is an Episcopal parish located in the historic village of Owego in Tioga County, New York-- about 30 minutes by car west of Binghamton, 30 minutes south of Ithaca, and 40 minutes east of Elmira.
Our church building is a gorgeous stone structure over 100 years old and in excellent condition. Parishioners are well pleased with their church, which features the original altar, a large baptismal font, beautiful stained glass windows, a pipe organ, and a bell tower, each of which gives harmonious testimony to the worship held within. The building also includes a chapel for special observances and a columbarium.
Our church building is listed in the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places.

Wardens: Laura Coppens and Patricia Ellis
Members: Lois Bingley, Alice Botts, Linda Brisson, Dave Geller, Chris Peterson, Lin Richards, Bill Standinger, Bernadette Toombs & Gayle Whittier
The vestry is charged with handling the finances of the church. They pay the priest and the other employees under his purview, take care of the physical plant and its maintenance and repair, and otherwise concern themselves with the operation and buildings of the church, except for items involved directly with worship, baptisms, marriages, funerals, confirmations, etc., which are the responsibility of the priest.
St. Pauls vestry typically meets once a month, on the second Monday, at 7:00 in the evening. A member of the vestry usually takes part as a nonvoting member of other committees, such as buildings and grounds, stewardship, outreach, and so forth.
Vestry members are elected for a 3-year term at the annual meeting. A member may serve two consecutive terms and, then, must be off the vestry for a while before he or she can serve again. The terms are staggered such that only three members are replaced at any one election, unless a member resigns, moves, etc.
